Social Justice Ministry
Mission Statement
The Social Justice Ministry Commission's Mission is to live out the Gospel message to respect human life and dignity and to work for justice and peace. This Mission shall be implemented through prayerful and informed discernment of priorities, activities and projects actively embraced and undertaken by the The Social Justice Ministry Commission.
Commission members shall encourage the involvement of parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish in service to each other and in volunteering their efforts to serve the needs of the poor and the less fortunate whenever and wherever such needs exist.
This Parish Commission meets monthly. Members also recruit parishioners who will assist in reaching out to people in need within our parish, our local community, and throughout the world. Activities include:
